Delivery Policy

Everything we deliver is digital and instant — nothing ships, nothing waits on a courier. This page explains exactly what you receive, how, and how to get it again if you ever need to.

1. Instant digital delivery

International Automobile Council is a fully digital service. On every plan, your IDP is issued as a digital document and delivered to your email inbox in minutes once your application is approved — there is nothing physical to send, so there is nothing that can be delayed, lost, or held up in transit.

In short: everything is delivered digitally and instantly. Nothing ships — not even on the Digital + IDP PVC Card plan. Your permit is usable from the moment it arrives in your inbox.

2. What’s in your download

Digital Only plan: your IDP as a digital document (PDF), delivered by email as an instant download.
Digital + IDP PVC Card plan: a single instant ZIP download containing your digital IDP document (PDF) plus a print-ready, wallet-size IDP PVC card file in standard CR80 (credit-card) format.

3. Printing your PVC card

The IDP PVC card file is designed to standard CR80 credit-card dimensions, so it fits any wallet. You can print it at home on card stock, or take the file to any card-print shop for a professional PVC finish — most shops print CR80 cards while you wait.

When printing, keep the card at 100% scale (no “fit to page” resizing) and make sure the verification QR code remains sharp and intact — the QR on your document and card is how authorities and rental agencies verify your permit.

4. Re-downloading your files

Your files are not one-time downloads. Account holders can sign in to the dashboard at any time to re-download the IDP document and, on the Digital + IDP PVC Card plan, the print-ready card file — for example, if you change devices, lose the original email, or want to print a fresh copy of your card.

5. Problems with your download

If your delivery email has not arrived within a reasonable time of approval, check your spam or junk folder first. If it is still missing, or a file will not open or appears corrupted, contact support@internationalautomobilecouncil.com — our team is available 24/7 and will re-issue your download promptly.
